In the 20 century, one of the most popular inventions was the "Refrigerator". Nowadays, people use the refrigerator to keep the food fresh. The most important advantage of refrigerator is convenient to keep the food fresh. Before refrigerator was invented, reserving food for people was difficult, because the food is perishable at room temperature. People preserved some kind of food, like fish, pork or fruit to store for passing the hard time. But the preserved food is unhealthy and not fresh. Then the refrigerator was invented, people can easily keep the food fresh for several days. You just put the food in a refrigerator, close the door of refrigerator and then the refrigerator will keep the food cool because the food is imperishable at low temperature. Another advantage of refrigerator is "enjoyment". In summer, people will make something iced in the refrigerator so that they can enjoy the icy food when they feel hot. Also, many chefs can invent many diverse icy foods for people due to the invention of refrigerator, or the icy foods will melt quickly at room temperature without a refrigerator. Enjoying the icy food is an interesting part of summer life. Due to the advances of refrigerator, it has become a standard piece of equipment everywhere; it is hard for people to live without a refrigerator.

(Final)Compare and contrast living at home and in the dormitory
Living at home is different from living in the dormitory. When it comes to transportation, if you live at home, you have to get up earlier than those who living in the dormitory. For example, I am living at home in HsinChuang(新莊) now, it is far from NTUST, if I take the public transportation to school, I need to spend 1.5 hours, but those who living in the dormitory do not have to do that like me. If I live in the dormitory, I can have more sleeping time. However, living in the dormitory, you will have to pay more expenses on food. When you live in the dormitory, you eat your breakfast, lunch and dinner outside, because you do not have a kitchen in the dormitory. It is more expensive than you cook meals by yourself. Furthermore, the meals you eat outside are also unhealthy because they are almost oily, salty and contain much more calories. The most important of all - the privacy, you have to share your room with your roommates when you live in the dormitory. Sometimes your roommates may do something and you will feel bothered, embarrassed, and even angry with them. For example, my friend often complains about his roommate's snore disturb his sleep every night. It is really annoying. Unlike living in the dormitory, when you live at home, you have your own space; you can listen to music loudly, sleep lately, you can do anything you want without bothering anyone. However, you can learn how to make a decision by yourself and how to live independent by living in the dormitory. Living at home and in the dormitory are two different experiences.

(1st)Compare and contrast living at home and in the dormitory
It is different environment for living at home and in the dormitory. Living at home is much more convenience than living in the dormitory; for example, I am living in HsinChuang(新莊) now, it is far from NTUST, if I take the public transport to school, I need to spend 1.5 hours, but living in the dormitory do not. I can have more sleeping time for living in the dormitory.Furthermore, I can have cheap and healthy meals at home, but it is not only expensive to have a meal, but also oily food outside. On the other hand, when I living at home, unlike living in the dormitory, I have my own room at home that I can listen to music loudly, sleep lately and do everything I want. Most important of all, I have good privacy at home, the people who living in the dormitory have to share the room with others, they may bother you or do something you feel embarrassing or angry with them. My friend often complains with his roommate, his roommate's snore disturbed his sleep every nights, it is really annoying. However, you can learn how to make a decision by yourself and how to live independent by living in the dormitory. It is different experience to living at home and in the dormitory.

The reason why I chose Information Management (IM) as my major was very simple - I was interested in computer science. I enjoy learning skills of computer and business knowledge in my school life.
When I was a junior high school student, I had a computer whose processing speed was very slow. But I learned a lot of basic computer technology from my slow computer. For example, my computer teacher taught me how to edit a homepage by using HTML and how to set up a computer. I liked to help my friends if they have any problems about computer. To help my friends, I learned more computer skills. The more skills I learned the more interested that I was in computer; therefore after junior high school, I chose Data Process as my major in vocational high school.
When I was going to graduate from vocational high school, I had to think about the future; what would be my major in college? I wanted to learn more knowledge, skill and technology. My parents supported me to make the decision, "You should choose what you like", they said. Without a doubt, I chose Information Management to be my major. Fortunately, I was admitted to NTUST by screening test and was able to major in IM.
In my college life, I learned many skills in computer and business. I like to use program language to operate the database, and apply to business models; it's the most important skill in e-Commerce. I want to use the skills that I have learned in the future. I am glad that I can study in the Department of Information Management in NTUST; I learned a lot of knowledge in the school.

A Person I Admire
I admire my father because he work hard for family.
Even he feels very tired, he will not say "I am so tired, I don't want go to work".
Sometimes I don't want to go to school, and I really didn't go to school, but my father is a responsible person.
When he didn't have enough case to make the financial in the balance state, he didn't tell us that he was worried about that and he will figure out the problem by himself.
If my mother work overtime, my father will prepare dinner for us.
Even he feels very tired, he will not say "I am so tired, I don't want go to work".

Book Report
Title: The Surprise Party

Characters: Nicky, Albert, Ann, Jenny, Jan, Morris, Doris and Dan
Plot:
Nicky wanted a birthday party, but he didn't have enough money for a party. Even so, he still wanted a surprise party, but he couldn't give a surprise party for himself.
Nicky told his friend Albert, who he want to invite, what he like, and they could get the party ready at his house. Albert and kids started to plan, but the kids didn't know that Nicky already knew about the party.
The next day, Nicky and Albert met Ann in a park. Nicky told Ann his tuba teacher was taking him to a concert on his birthday, he fooled her.
On Nicky's birthday, when Nicky got the little house, there was no one. And Albert went to the little house told Nicky that Ann told everyone Nicky were going to a concert, so they called off the party. Nicky felt bad. Albert took Nicky to his house. There were all kids in the house; there were everything what Nicky want. It was a real surprise party. Nicky have a surprise birthday party.
My opinion of the book:
I like this story. I always want some surprise on my birthday, but if my friends forget my birthday, I will feel disappointment. But I won't to arrange a party for me; I just like to have a big enjoyable meal with my friends.
I think Nicky have a good friend – Albert, who do a real surprise party for Nicky. If the party likes Nicky's image, it is boring.

What is a very important skill a person should learn in order to be successful in the world today?
What is a very important skill a person should learn in order to be successful in the world today? I think it is the language. Everyone in the world use language everyday, to buy something, to do business and to communicate. Especially, the world would be a global village today, we have many chance to communicate with foreigners. If you want to do business with French, maybe you should learn French. If you are traveling in Italy, maybe you should learn Italian. Of course, when you live in this world, you must to learn your mother language at least.
Learning language make you know more knowledge, I think “be successful” not only be a rich guy or be a famous woman/man in the world, you must to satisfied yourself; the technology you learn and the knowledge you know will let you feel how rich is your mind. If you have good language skill, you can learn more than you have know, I think you will be the most successful person in the world.
